Use a message template
Insert a saved message into a chat, with the patient's name and your team filled in, so you don't retype the replies you send often.
Who can do this: Everyone · Web and desktop
A template is a saved message, such as an appointment reminder or directions to your office. Insert it into a chat, and BloomText fills in what it knows, such as the patient's first name, your team and your practice. You type only what's left, then send it as usual.
Before you start
- Templates are in the message box of your chats. Some are yours (Mine), some belong to a team, and some are shared with your whole organization (Org).
Insert a template
- In your chat list, open the chat you want to reply in.
- In the message box, click + (More actions).
- Click Templates.
- Click the template, for example Appointment reminder. Its preview already has the details the chat knows.
- Under Fill in before inserting, type anything still missing, such as the visit time. The preview fills in as you type.
- Check the preview. It's the text exactly as the patient will get it.
- Click Insert. The message goes into the message box.
- Review it, then press Send. Nothing is sent until you do.
Good to know
- To find a template, type in Search templates, or pick a tab: All, Mine, a team, or Org.
- A value you leave empty goes into the message box as a chip to fill in. Send stays off until it's filled.
- To save a new one, click + New template in Templates.
- Broadcast campaigns don't use these templates. To reuse a broadcast's wording, see Reuse a message.
