Reset or change your password

Reset a forgotten BloomText password from the sign-in screen, or set a new one when BloomText tells you your password has expired.

Who can do this: Everyone · Web, desktop, iPhone and Android

Forgot your password? You can reset it yourself from the sign-in screen. BloomText emails you a link, and you choose a new password. You don't need to ask an admin.

Before you start

  • Use the email address you registered with BloomText. The reset message goes there.
  • To change a password you still know, use Settings > Security instead. See Keep your sign-in secure.

Reset a forgotten password

  1. Open the Sign in to BloomText screen.
  2. Click Forgot password? under the Log in button.
  3. On Reset password, type the email address you registered with BloomText.
  4. Click Send reset link.
  5. On Check your email, BloomText says it sent you instructions.
  6. Click Done to go back to the sign-in screen.
  7. Open the email and click its reset link. On Reset password, type a new password under Password, then again under Confirm password.
  8. Click Save. BloomText logs you in with your new password.

When your password has expired

Now and then, BloomText may ask you to choose a new password when you log in, for example on an account that hasn't set one in a long time. It emails you the reset instructions automatically.

  1. On the Sign in to BloomText screen, type your work email and your usual password.
  2. Click Log in.
  3. A Your password has expired notice says BloomText has emailed you instructions.
  4. Click Back to login.
  5. Open that email and use its link to set a new password, as in Reset a forgotten password. BloomText then logs you in with it.

Good to know

  • A reset link works once, for up to a week. If yours has been used or is too old, start again from Forgot password?.
  • If the email doesn't arrive, check your spam folder. Still nothing? Email support@bloomtext.com.
  • If your organization asks for a texted code at login, you'll enter that code after your new password. See Turn on two-factor login.
