Open a patient's profile and past chats

Check a patient's details and read your earlier conversations with them before you reply, all from their panel in the BloomText Directory.

Before you reply to a family, it helps to confirm you have the right person and to see what you've already talked about. A patient's panel in the Directory shows their details and your recent chats with them in one place.

Before you start

  • Anyone in your organization can open a patient's panel.

Check a patient and read an earlier chat

  1. In the left bar, click Directory.
  2. Click the Patients tab.
  3. Type the patient's name in Search by name, phone, email or MRN to narrow the table.
  4. Click the patient. Their name and your organization head the panel that opens beside the table.
  5. Check the details under General Information: date of birth, phone, email and MRN.
  6. If something is out of date, click Edit details. Change it, then click Save.
  7. To leave the form unchanged, click Cancel.
  8. Under Recent Chats, click a conversation to read it before you reply.

To start a new conversation instead, click Start a chat at the top of the panel.
